Why do we protest? This is the question young Nia asks her family members to help her understand when she sees the protests happening around her. I wrote this book to help parents have hard conversations with their children. Kids around the world are witnessing and participating in protests for the deaths of black people. This book helps start the conversation and sheds light on the current state of things. In doing so, we can put a stop to these senseless murders.
